These past two weeks, sophomores have been taking the CAPT testing at Putnam High School. This test is taken to evaluate 10th grade students and school teachers to see if they meet state requirement. Imagine the Putnam High School halls in complete silence. Putnam High student Caleb Gonyer says the CAPT testing was " long and time consuming but fairly easy".

I think that the collaboration activity was decent. I feel as if we didn't have much knowledge about the task we were given so I myself didn't really have a clear path on what i was doing. Luckily i had a topic i knew alot on. We learned how editors and reporters work together. I liked how it made all of us look at ourselves as a journalist team and work together. I just didn't like how we had limited directions but all in all i thought it was a decent project and i wouldn't mind doing it again.

Sports is a huge part of today's world and is presented in many ways such as the Internet, newspaper, and TV/ Radio. Even though it is presented in many ways they all focus on one thing. And that is who publishes the best story first, but most accurate.
In the Internet world you hear many stories. A big part of why the internet always is the first that gets the info is because of Twitter, Facebook ect. If anyone see's a game or see's and athlete they are the first ones to hear about it and publish the news right away.
The newspaper is usually the last ones to come out with breaking news only because they have to wait to publish there papers to the area and or country. Regardless of being the last, it is known to be a little more reliable then the internet.
Everyone has watched TV or listened to the radio when it comes to sports. On TV they are in the athletes face when it comes to news. Such as when Jeremy Lin had his breakout and he was covered with news reporters from ESPN and it was on SportsCenter the next hour.

After listening to all of my classmates, i have found that Caleb's Journalist, Colin Cowherd is the most intriguing. It seemed like he had a good childhood, i mean his mother only went through 5 divorces, no big deal. He seemed to come a long way and now he has his own show "Sports Nation" with Michelle Beadle who is really good looking.
If i could emulate one Journalist it would probably be Chris Broussard. I like the fact that he debates about the sport I like every week. And he appears on sports shows with my favorite journalist, Stephen A. Smith
And if i could avoid one journalist it would be Janet Cooke. Reason being is that she published fake news. She is unemployed
